Christy Walker, President of CURLSASK – The host site for the 2022 Viterra Scotties Provincial
Women’s Championship has been officially awarded to Assiniboia. The event will run from January 5-9,
2022.

This will mark the third time they have hosted the Viterra Scotties Championship (previously 2005 and
2015). The event will run at the Assiniboia Curling Club which is a remarkable facility. It has the look and
feel of an arena on-ice, but the warmth of a curling club inside. With on-ice seating of 700 and inside
seating of 300, this complex is a perfect fit for CURLSASK.

Kyle Jeworski, CEO, Viterra North America – It’s great to see that the next Provincial Women’s
Championship will be held in Assiniboia. At Viterra, we’re proud of our long history in southern
Saskatchewan and working with our customers to help them feed the world. I know many of them are
avid curling fans, who are looking forward to attending this tournament in person once again. While this
past year has been challenging in many ways, I know that the organizing team has been working hard to
ensure that they can deliver another quality event for Saskatchewan’s curling fans next year.

Viterra Scotties Provincial Women’s Championship, I would like to thank Viterra, Kruger and CURLSASK
for once again giving Assiniboia the opportunity to host this great event. We have hosted this event in the
past and have always had great success thanks to our amazing volunteers, sponsors, and of course,
fans! There are a lot of exciting things happening in our community including a new hockey arena being
built directly across the street. Hosting this event from January 5-9, 2022 will definitely add to the
excitement. We are looking forward to being able to fill the stands and rock the house like we have
before! We hope to see you in Assiniboia!
