As the curling season is officially over here in Saskatchewan, we are already gearing up for some exciting events occurring over the summer, as well as preparing for the 2017/2018 curling season! Please take a look at the notes below: Canadian Champion in Laine Paters attending 31st Annual Prairieland Summer Curling Camp! Not sick of curling yet..?? Why not take part in one of the best weeks of the summer at our 31st Annual Prairieland Curling Camp! 2016 Canadian Champion Laine Peters will be attending Week 2 of this years camp as our celebrity player appearance. We are thankful to have her attending and able to share her knowledge with the young curlers of Saskatchewan! Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling Coming to Regina Sept. 5-10! If you are wanting to be a part of an exciting and motivated volunteer team during the first Grand Slam event of the year, get in on the action and volunteer today! Please fill out the following form (below), and deliver it to the nearest Regina curling club: Grand Slam of Curling Volunteer Form 2018 Tim Horton’s Brier Coming to Regina! The best men’s team in the country will be coming to the Queen City to battle for the Maple Leaf come March 2018!! Why not volunteer and take in some of the action all week long! All documents and applications can be foundhere.If you have any further questions, please emailbgallagher@sandraschmirler.org. 2017 Annual General Meeting (Saskatoon, SK) The 2017 CURLSASK Annual General Meeting took place this past weekend at the Saskatoon Ramada Hotel. Many agenda items, reports, and other topics of discussion took place with member representatives and voting delegates present. Please clickhere.for the Annual General Meeting Working Papers. During the AGM, CURLSASK welcomed aboard a new region coordinator out of the east central region, in Karol Narfason. We would also like to welcome two new board members in Darrell Brandt and Darlene Danyliw! We are proud to have them join our team and look forward to working with them for the upcoming 2017/2018 season! Team Steve Laycock Books Ticket into Olympic Curling Trials in December! Team Laycock is one step closer to achieving the dream of a lifetime, representing Canada at the 2018 WInter Olympics. They are one of the seven men’s teams who earned the direct berth into the trials. The final two spots will be determined in Summerside, Prince Edward Island Nov. 7-12, 2017. The Olympic Trials will take place Dec. 2-10, 2017 in Ottawa, Ontario!
