Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling Tour Challenge – Regina, SK
The Co-operators Centre at Evraz Place here in Regina will play host to the first Grand Slam Event of the season! The event will be broken down into two tiers, with the best te ams from around the world competing for the first Slam title September 5-10. There are many local Saskatchewan teams competing in this years event (team’s listed below), so make sure to get yourtickets for this years event at here. Saskatchewan Teams:

Anita Ford NEW CURLSASK Patron
We are pleased to announce that Anita Ford is the newest CURLSASK patron for the 2017-2018 season through until 2020-2021! Anita was the SLCA Past President (1987-1988).
NEW! CURLSASK Hit, Draw & Tap Youth Skills Competition
We are pleased to announce the 1st Annual CURLSASK Hit, Draw & Tap (HDT) Championships!! HDT is an individual youth skills competition similar to “Drive, Chip & Putt” in golf, where individuals ages 8-15 will compete in a skills competition where they will be scored on three different curling shots (A Hit, A Draw & A Tap!). They will then be placed on the provincial leaderboard in their specified age category for a chance to qualify to shoot in the Provincial Shootout at the SaskTel Tankard in Estevan!! CURLSASK Youth Programming
Viterra Youth Clinics will be available to our member clubs again this year, and we look forward to having another successful year! Grant money will be available for the youth clinics to assistin covering cost for the clubs, so if your club is interested please contact Mat Ring at mat.ring@curlsask.ca or 306.780.9415 to get started! We have some unfortunate news that Tim Hortons will no longer be sponsoring the U15 & U18 Youth Spiels around the province, but grant money will still be available for the upcoming season for clubs wishing to host a youth spiel! Please contact Mat Ring at the CURLSASK office for more information. Upcoming Viterra Camps:

Early Ice at Saskatoon CN Curling Club & Regina Highland Curling Club
The ice crew and teams at the Saskatoon CN Curling Club worked around the clock to have their ice in early August for teams to take advantage before the season starts up! Thank you to Steve and the CN staff! Dave Loos and his team at the Regina Highland will have early ice available for curlers beginning September 1st! We also want to thank everyone at the Regina Highland for all the hard work they put in to providing early ice access for teams! Please call either the CN or Highland to book your ice times ahead of time.
NEW! Member Registration System – Curling I/O!
Curling Canada has developed a Curling Registration and Management System (CRMS) to Member Associations and Curling Clubs across the country, providing them with a full range of web-based tools to accept curler registrations, manage and communicate with your curlers, accept online payments, and leverage full reporting capabilities. If your curling club is interested in using Curling I/O in your club this upcoming season, please contact Ashley Howard at ashley.howard@curlsask.ca or 306.780.9403.
What do you get for your CURLSASK & Curling Canada Member Fee..??
On behalf of the Board of Directors and Staff here at CURLSASK, we are expressing the recent change to the curling fees for members across the country.
