Viterra Youth & School Clinics

The Viterra Youth & School Clinics have been supported by both CURLSASK and Viterra in developing the sport of curling within youth across the province of Saskatchewan. CURLSASK provides hosting grants for these clinics to help the local curling club cover costs of CURLSASK instructors, ice rental, equipment, and any other material needed to help put on a successful clinic for the participants.

Please contact for full program details and to book a Clinic in your Club!

Viterra School Programs

CURLSASK is available to assist schools with a Curling Day program or to incorporate curling into a physical education program.  Qualified instructors and lesson plans are available to schools wishing to introduce students to Saskatchewan’s official sport.

While instructors are out in your community, we encourage clubs to incorporate their designated high school teams to take part or join in for drills after the clinic is over. Working on team dynamics, drills, and communication is what we tend to focus on while working with these teams!

Viterra Youth Clinics presented by Passion Curling

Passion Curling will provide instructor training and a How-To Session and Document to run your own mini session, 1 day or 2 day camps depending on the need of your participants.

This will include the recommended supplies to teach a fun clinic. Passion Curling will provide 30-60-minute virtual training for clinic instructors. This will allow for quality clinics to be conducted at a local level, reducing travel.

Our proposed changes include the creation of “how to documents”, which include step by step instructions for a local instructor. These will be created for clinics of short, medium and long time periods. This will ensure a quality program is delivered to youth & limit unnecessary travel.

The program is intended to be taught at the local level. The major improvements include:

  • Fully updated program with crisp new branding.
  • Local instructors received virtual training on how to deliver the program.
  • Broader program reach with local instructors vs one travelling instructor.
