Curling Fans throughout Saskatchewan know Warren Woods as the voice of Curling, broadcasting curling on Global Television for 20 years.

In August of 1987 Warren joined the Global Regina Sports Team and the rest as they say is history. In 1989 The Saskatchewan Curling Association, as it was known at that time, reached an agreement with Global Television to broadcast the Provincial Men’s Curling Championship. Global gave Warren the assignment of commentator and enlisted Warren Proctor, the technical Director of the SCA, to be the colour man. Global Television continued to broadcast the Provincial championship for 20 years until 2008.

Besides the broadcasts of the Provincial Championships Warren has covered every national, international and provincial curling event in Saskatchewan since he arrived here in 1987. From 1992 to 2004 he hosted over 12 hours of the SGI Canada Curling Classic.

Warren continues to be a Sports Anchor, now for CJME Talk Radio in Regina. He covers all sports with expertise and professionalism, however his passion is curling. He has been and continues to be a leader in increasing the quality and quantity of curling coverage in Saskatchewan.
