CURLSASK is committed to creating programming where all those involved feel safe and free from harassment and discrimination. Please follow below for the steps we are taking to meet the highest standards of safety.
Safe Places
The application process for Safe Places certifications is online via the Safe Places Portal with each certification requiring an element of background checks, education, and training. All certifications
will include:
Four (4) year certification
- Digital certificate emailed and available via the Online Portal
- Certified Individuals registered and searchable in the Online Public Directory
- Annual Declaration required to maintain certification.
- Should an individual’s role change from initial application, upgrades to a different certification
will be available.
*Individuals working in multiple roles with the organization must ensure they have the correct certification required for these specific roles.

All reports are directed to the Safe Sport Committee which includes the CURLSASK Executive Director, Safe Places Representative, Safe Sport Committee Chair, and must include one person of both genders.
