CURLSASK PROVINCIAL DAY OF CURLING (the “Contest”)
OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. OPEN TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF SASKATCHEWAN.

 

1. WHAT IS CURLING DAY IN SASKATCHEWAN? January 29, 2020 will be declared Provincial Day of Curling presented by Three Farmers, here in Saskatchewan! Last year was our first year incorporating the video contest, where we awarded the following cash prizes:

1st Place ($2,500) ~ Saskatoon CN
2nd Place ($1,500) ~ Ogema
3rd Place ($500) ~ Makwa

As we have received great feedback from clubs across Saskatchewan, and new clubs wanting an opportunity to try it out, we will be hosting another VIDEO CONTEST, with a few twists!!!
 NEW! The video must incorporate ways your club is improving curlers ages 25-45 in your club!
– This can be through Adult Learn to Curl Programs, Social Leagues, etc.

2. COMPETITION TIMELINE & PHASES: The competition consists of five phases, as set forth in the accordion below:

 

Please fill out this application form below, and email it to mat.ring@curlsask.ca to enter your club into the contest! Please fill out as much details with your video description & clubs plans on January 23! ONLY CURLSASK MEMBER AFFILIATED CLUBS WILL BE ALLOWED TO ENTER AN APPLICATION.

Create your video based on the events you hosted at your curling club! Be creative and have fun!

MAXIMUM LENGTH IS 1:00 MINUTE!

Promote your video via social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc.) and use the following mentions/hashtags so we are able to track your video!

We will send an announcement out via social media to the Top 3 Curling Clubs that qualified!

We will announce the winner and finalists in The Patch at the SaskTel Tankard! The following prizes will be awarded:

1ST PLACE: $2,500
2ND PLACE: $1,000
3RD PLACE: $500

3. ELIGIBILITY TO ENTER: 

  • Your club must have been affiliated with CURLSASK for the 2018-2019 curling season!

4. CONTEST CRITERIA: 

  • The CURLSASK Committee that will be delegated to judge and decide the videos will be the active Participation & Development Committee.
  • Criteria are as follows:
    • Creativity towards the video presented
    • Unique and creative activities showed in improving your adult learn to curl program!
    • Social Media presence of your video – MUST mention @curlsask & @threefarmersfoods & use the hashtag #PDOC20
