2023 Canada Winter Games in Summerside

As a province known for its hospitality, we’re excited to welcome the 2023 Canada Winter Games to Prince Edward Island. From February 18 to March 5, the Games will bring together over 3,600 athletes, managers and coaches, across 20 different sports, for the largest multi-sport event in the country.

We’re looking forward to celebrating the very best in Canadian sports and sharing our unique Island spirit with the entire nation. Together, we’ll spark greatness and send waves out from every shore. From athletes and coaches to volunteers and fans, the 2023 Games will make every Canadian an Islander.

We are also pleased to formally announce that the Canada Winter Games, will also see the debut for the Mixed Doubles format.

Documents Required to be uploaded for your application include:

  • Criminal and Vulnerable Sector Background Check (valid within 3 months of application)
  • Respect in School or Respect in Sport Certificate (valid within the last 2 years)
  • 2 Pieces of Government issue ID (1 photo)
  • 1 Photograph to be used for Public Directory Identification (2.5×2.5 recommended)
