Road to the Saskatchewan Winter Games

In order for a team to compete, they must qualify out of one of the 9 Districts. The top team from each district will go on to represent their District.

Saskatchewan Winter Games Event Details

Age Classification:

  • Male and Female Team: Competitors born on or after July 1, 2004.
  • Mixed Doubles: Competitors born on or after July 1, 2002.
  • A minimum age of 11 is required to compete in both 4 person team and Mixed Doubles competitions

Team Size:

  • Male Team: 4 athletes, 1 coach, 1 manager*
  • Female Team: 4 athletes, 1 coach, 1 manager*
  • Mixed Doubles: 2 athletes of each gender, 1 coach

* Managers are only required when the coach is the opposite gender of the team. In the case of Mixed Doubles, a manager for each team is not required — one or more coaches will be appointed as managers for teams having the opposite gendered coach. In the event all coaches are of the same gender, one manager will be appointed responsible for all teams.

COVID Requirement:

As per Sask Sports requirement to compete in the Saskatchewan Winter Games, all participants, coaches, and managers must show proof of double vaccinated. No exceptions.

Documents Required to be uploaded for your application include:

  • Criminal and Vulnerable Sector Background Check (valid within 3 months of application)
  • Respect in School or Respect in Sport Certificate (valid within the last 2 years)
  • 2 Pieces of Government issue ID (1 photo)
  • 1 Photograph to be used for Public Directory Identification (2.5×2.5 recommended)
