Road to the Saskatchewan Winter Games

In order for a team to compete, they must qualify out of one of the 9 Districts. The top team from each district will go on to represent their District.

Deadline to Register: January 3, 2022 at noon

Mixed Doubles Details

Deadline to Register: January 17, 2022 at noon
Cost: $80
Dates: January 22-23, 2022
Locations to be determined by districts

Saskatchewan Winter Games Event Details

Location: 

  • Male and Female Team: Caledonian Curling Club
  • Mixed Doubles: Highland Curling Club

Dates: February 20 – 23, 2022

Team Size:

  • Male Team: 4 athletes, 1 coach, 1 manager*
  • Female Team: 4 athletes, 1 coach, 1 manager*
  • Mixed Doubles: 2 athletes of each gender, 1 coach

* Managers are only required when the coach for the men’s team is female, or the coach for the women’s team is male; in this instance, a team manager of the same gender will be appointed to the team in question. In the case of Mixed Doubles, a manager for each team is not required — one or more coaches will be appointed as managers for teams having the opposite gendered coach. In the event all coaches are of the same gender, one manager will be appointed responsible for all teams.

Age Classification:

  • Male and Female Team: Competitors shall be a minimum of 11 years of age and a maximum of 16 years of age on June 30, 2021.
  • Mixed Doubles: Competitors shall be a minimum of 11 years of age and a maximum of 18 years of age on June 30, 2021.

COVID Requirement:

As per Sask Sports requirement to compete in the Saskatchewan Winter Games, all participants, coaches, and managers must show proof of double vaccinated. No exceptions.
