Team SK Men
We had one game on Wednesday against a tough PEI team. It came down to the last end but Team Sask came out on top. That puts us tied at the top at a record of 6-1. We had two late night practices and it was time for rest. Dean attend the nightly coaches meeting. We have two games against MB and then against NS.
Thursday’s was a two game day whic started out with a victory against MB 1 but unfortunately ended in a loss against NS. We play MB 2 Friday morning. Winner goes to the final with the loser gong to the semi final. Team photos and the Curling Canada banquet will also be held on Friday.
Team SK Women
This morning we played Manitoba on the the Curling Canada live stream. We had some good moments but unfortunately couldn’t pull enough ends together. A cool experience; cameras, mic’s and the big screen on both ends of the arena.
We spent a relaxing afternoon with our families and each had a rest before the evening game.
Rather than being piped in for the game; Trooper’s “Raise A Little Hell” rocked while we marched in! Special guest, Trooper Guitarist, Brian Smith introduced the teams. The parents we’re especially impressed with seeing the rock legend from their era!
We had a really good game against New Brunswick. We were making shots and it felt good to be working well as a team… it led to a win!! Broke the losing streak!
