SaskTel Continues Coverage at Viterra Scotties and SaskTel Tankard
The top Saskatchewan men’s & women’s teams are set to slide into Melville for the Viterra Scotties and SaskTel Tankard Provincial Curling Championships to determine who will represent Saskatchewan on the national stage this curling season.
“Happy New Year & Happy Playdown Season from everyone here at CURSLASK. It’s been another fantastic curling season and we’re extremely excited to see which of these amazing men’s and women’s teams will earn the right to be called Team Saskatchewan this year,” said Mat Ring, CURLSASK Marketing and Membership Services Coordinator.” Thanks to our ongoing partnership with SaskTel, Saskatchewan curling fans who won’t be able to ‘live it live’ at the beautiful Horizon Credit Union Centre will still be able to tune from all over the province from the comfort of their living room.”
The women kick things off with the Viterra Scotties running from January 24th until the 28th. Then the men close out the provincial curling season with the SaskTel Tankard beginning on January 29th and ending February 2nd.
During both events, SaskTel will broadcast a featured game of the day as well as the semifinals and finals LIVE on maxTV (channels 49/349) and maxTV Stream (channel 49). Curling fans can also watch these games on the go anywhere in Canada with the maxTV app or relive the action afterwards via maxTV On Demand – see full broadcast details below. Additional feeds will also be available on the CURLSASK YouTube channel.
“We are thrilled to once again bring the action and excitement of both the Viterra Scotties and SaskTel Tankard to our maxTV customers spread across hundreds of communities throughout Saskatchewan,” said Doug Burnett, SaskTel President and CEO.
SaskTel will mark this as their 15th year of the title sponsorship for the Men’s Provincial Championship, with 16 men’s teams competing for the right to represent Saskatchewan at the 2020 Tim Hortons Brier in Kingston, Ontario February 29th – March 8, 2020.
