Well. Here goes. Hello all you Saskatchewan curling fans. Our team representing Saskatchewan in the Mixed National curling event in Quebec is comprised of Shaun Meachem (or is it Shawn?) Kelly Shafer (most famously known as Kelly Wood) Chris Haichert (the old outta shape bald guy) and the most beautiful lead Teejay Haichert (she’s sitting right beside me).
We are absolutely honoured to be able to put on the Green Jacket to represent our province at a National event.
We are dialed in for this event and ready to bring Sask back another Canadian title. So much so, that our nutrition intake today has had to be on point.
Okay, okay. Maybe not exactly on point quite yet. The competition doesn’t begin until tomorrow. So until then…
I’ll be honest, I’m not sure what I’m more excited for, the event…or the 10 day vacation from the kids!!! We have all left our kids behind so grandma’s and grandpa’s are gonna all have their hands full!
Today was travel day…we have 3 flights and a bus ride to somewhere up in the northern Quebec bush. Sagueney.
I’ve always wondered who would drop 15 bucks to get their shoes shined in the airport.
Well, I now know who would…
That’s right. My wife…when she’s hanging onto my credit card.
I will admit though, her curling shoes are looking great.
