Glenn Paulley Sweeping On-Ice Session
We are pleased to welcome back Glenn Paulley for an on-ice follow up session. Glenn will demonstrate the most effective sweeping techniques and how to coach effective sweepers. The session will take place on ice at the Highland Curling Club in Regina.
Glenn Paulley is a consulting coach with the Ontario Curling Council where his specialty is brushing. A coach for the past 16 seasons, in 2016 he coached the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks varsity men to a national CIS championship.
The CURLSASK Coaching Series is intended to spread knowledge to CURLSASK athletes and coaches on various topics.Certified Coaches will receive one (1) Professional Development Credit towards their NCCP Maintenance of Certification.Coaches must provide NCCP number. The CURLSASK Webinar Series is intended to spread knowledge to CURLSASK athletes and coaches on various topics. Sessions are led by Director of High Performance, Pat Simmons.
Pat has had 9 Brier appearances, 2 world championship experiences and won 2 Grand Slams. Pat brings a wealth of knowledge about the game.

Practice: This webinar will discuss how athletes and coaches can build a plan to maximize the benefit of their practices, the differences between team and individual practice sessions.

Ask Pat: This session will feature a slightly different format than the other webinars in this series. Participants will be encouraged to submit their high-performance curling questions to generate an open discussion on the things you need to know. A list of the most frequently asked questions as well as anything else on your mind.

Mental: Toughness: What works for you? In the second half of the season we shift our focus to mental toughness. Pat will share his experience as a high-performance curler to shorten the learning curve for participants. Included will be discussion on many fronts to help coaches/teams win the mental battle.
