2019 Legends of Curling Inductee Ted Phenix Passes Away
We are deeply saddened to announce to the curling community, that Tedd Phenix has lost his difficult battle with cancer. Ted passed away peacefully in the early hours of July 4th.
Aside from his competitive curling days, Tedd moved to Tisdale in 1976 where he made a lasting impact on the curling community in town. Tedd served on the curling executive from 1977-2019. Where he was involved in every event that Tisdale hosted. Tedd was also involved on the coaching side of things, coaching local High School teams and ran the junior development program from 1998-2006.
Tedd’s favourite memory of curling was being selected in 2017 to be part of the Canada team for the Strathcona Cup, an international competition between Scotland & Canada that is played every five years, taken place since 1903 in Scotland.
Tedd was recently inducted into the Legends of Curling Honour Roll as a curler, June 1st at the 2019 CURLSASK Awards Gala.

A celebration of life service will be held at the Tisdale Recplex on Friday July 12th at 2:00 p.m.
