Melville to Host 2020 Viterra Scotties & SaskTel Tankard Provincial Championships
“One-of-a-Kind” Event Coming to Sask!
An excited community with a true love of hosting successful curling events, will host both the Men’s & Women’s Provincial Championships!
The City of Melville are thirlled & excited to host both the 2020 Viterra Scotties & SaskTel Tankard Provincial Championships!
These two prestigious curling events will provide the elite championship experience each curler sets their eyes on at the start of the curling season, and what a way to compete than in the beautiful facility at the Horizon Credit Union Centre! This will be the first overlapping event CURSLASK has ever hosted, which will see the top nine women’s teams in the province take to the ice January 24-30 & the top sixteen men’s teams conclude the event competing January 29 – February 2!
“We know a lot of hard work goes into planning a successful Championship and based on the success of the 2017 Viterra Scotties & 2015 SaskTel Tankard, we look forward to watching Melville welcome the best curlers in the province,” says CURLSASK Executive Director Ashley Howard.
The teams will make the stop through Melville onward to their respective 2020 Canadian Championships. The 2020 Tim Hortons Brier will take place in Kingston, Ontario, but the exciting thrill for our women’s competitors will be to have the chance in representing Saskatchewan on home soil, as the 2020 Scotties Tournament of Hearts will take center stage at Mosaic Place in Moose Jaw!
There will be no doubt in our mind that Larry Peterson & his committee will make it a week to remember in Melville next January! Thank you to all the helping hands that made this a possibility.
All schedules & ticket information will be released at a later date!
