Team SK Blog #2 ~ Scotties Tournament of Hearts

Day 2 was another great day preparing for the show starting tomorrow!

We had a productive practice -sporting the SK green attire! The girls were making fantastic shots and getting a feel for the ice. It is a beautiful arena and done up very nice for this event. The girls followed up practice with a couple of interviews with local media and TSN.
We had lunch at a local pub and enjoyed some maritime dishes. We relaxed in our rooms for a bit and got caught up on where some of our families were at in their journeys to Cape Breton. Most of our followers have arrived or will be arriving shortly. We then made ourselves beautiful for a lovely opening presentation with Kruger Products who were presenting our team jewelry!

 

Robyn, Jessie and Kara earned a gold chain and pendant and Stef received her 4th diamond to complete her pendant. The girls looked fabulous with their Scotties bling and green dresses. We are truly blessed as women curlers having a 38 year partnership with such an amazing company. Thank you Kruger Products! After the introduction of the teams at the Heartstop lounge we quickly changed and bundled up for a brisk walk to the arena to check out the wildcard game. Wow, what a crowd for this small community! It is going to be fabulous playing in front of a knowledge and large group of spectators.

It was a fantastic day and we are ready to play tomorrow at 7:30pm. Catch on TSN vs Team Canada at 5:30 SK time.
