Provincial Mixed Doubles & Club Championships Hit the Ice Thursday!

2018 Mixed Doubles Provincial Championship ~ Moose Jaw

The 2018 Mixed Doubles Provincial Championship gets underway Thursday at the Moose Jaw Ford Curling Centre. The 2017 champions MacKenzie Schwartz & Sam Wills will look to defend their title, amongst a very strong field, which will include many former provincial champions at the men’s, women’s, junior’s & mixed competitions.

This years event will consist of a 24-team triple knockout format, with the top 8 teams qualifying for the playoffs. The championship duo will represent Saskatchewan at the 2018 Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Championship Mar.28-Apr.1 in Leduc, Alberta! Good Luck & Good Curling to all teams.

2018 Curling Club Provincial Championships ~ Humboldt

The 2018 Curling Club Provincial Championships will hit the ice this weekend in Humboldt, with the top men’s & women’s club teams looking to represent Saskatchewan at the 2019 Canadian Championship (location TBD).

This provincial championship consists of participants who participate at the club level, and have earned the right to compete at the provincial championship through their regional wins over the past few weeks. The 2017 men’s finalists in Team Sheldon Obst from Regina will be in the mix once again, along with many former champions on the women’s side looking to get back into that green jacket.

The Canadian Paralympic Wheelchair Curling Team are currently competing in Pyeongchang, South Korea in the 2018 Parlaympic Winter Games. Below are the recent results as the team inch their way closer to the page playoffs.
