Tankard Players Take Time for Junior Stars!

Junior Stars Get Full Experience at SaskTel Tankard

What a week it was down in Estevan one short month ago, not just for the players & volunteers but for some special young individuals from the Estevan area.

The host committee for this years Tankard developed a Junior Star program for the opening ceremonies along for the first draw for each team. One lucky junior curler who took part in the Estevan junior curling program got the opportunity to stand by a selected team, engage in the teams first practice of Draw 1 & take in the full locker room experience in the tunnel area of Affinity Place in Estevan!

Among the stressful times & moments at every provincial championship whether it was after a close victory or tough defeat, these fine gentlemen on each team found the time to gather themselves and give their divided attention to their very own junior star.

Everything from team jerseys, autographed team cards, team pictures & other goodies along the way brightened the eyes of junior stars and allowed a unique experience only every curlers should get throughout their lives!

We want to thank the host committee and all of the players/coaches who made this a memorable experience for all involved!
