Affinity Credit Union Senior Playdowns Headline Busy Weekend in Saskatchewan
Affinity Credit Union Senior Men’s North & South Qualifiers
The Senior Men will get their season officially underway with playdowns hitting the ice this weekend across Saskatchewan! The Northern Qualifier will take place in the Unity Curling Club, while the Southern Qualifier will take stage at the Melville Curling Club.
Three of the past five provincial champions in Darrell McKee (Saskatoon), Brad Heidt (Kerrobert) & Gord Bell (Regina) will be back in action this year looking to be back on top as provincial champions.
Action gets underway at both clubs today, as Draw #1 kicks off at 4:00 p.m.!

Affinity Credit Union Senior Women’s Q-Spiel #3
The third and final qualification spiel for the Senior Women’s teams will begin today at the Yorkton Curling Club. Teams Janet Englot (Melville), Merle Kopach (Saskatoon), Connie Rayner (Swift Current) and the hometown rink in Catherine Inglis will look to grab one of two spots available this weekend. They will join the teams already qualified for the 2018 Provincial Championship:

2018 Winter Olympics ~ Pyeongchang, South Korea
What a great first few days of Olympic action we are getting in South Korea, and an exciting event to be a curling fan as Mixed Doubles Curling made its Olympic debut two evenings ago where Kaitlyn Lawes & John Morris faced off against Team Norway.
Make sure to take in the action of Mixed Doubles, as well as the Team Play where Kevin Koe & Rachel Homan will make their Olympic debuts on Tuesday.
We want to send a good luck to all the curlers with Saskatchewan ties that will be participating in the 2018 Winter Olympics:

University of Regina Cougars Teams Compete in USport Playdowns
The University of Regina Men’s & Women’s teams are heading to Winnipeg to compete in the 2018 U SPORTS Curling Playdowns, which kick off this afternoon. Both teams will look for a strong weekend as last season both teams qualified through these playdowns and into the national championship! Skips Haylee Jameson & Drew Springer look to bring experience both of their teams, as they were on the roster during last seasons run in Thundery Bay, Ontario!
