Team SK Daily Blog #6 – Scotties Tournament of Hearts
Well Sask fans today was a tough day for these ladies, this new format seems to be a bit of a tough way to get on a roll.
The girls are making lots of great shots and just came up against a HOT skip for Northern Ontario. There are just some teams that get fired up to play specific teams. And well I think tonight was a great example of that! A few ends we had multiples set up and before we knew it we were taking one.
The great thing about today is we got a good rest this morning, a delicious breakfast and some fresh air which includes getting a picture with the curling peach of Penticton.
After the game the ladies got to enjoy a nice night out with their extended families and guests that have come from afar to cheer them on.
Rick and I joined Sherry and Colin for a nice steak supper. We shared some old stories and laughs. Sherry, Kim, Heather and Donna were one of my favourite teams to be around when I joined ladies, so it was fun to reminisce about the old days . Lol. Which really were only 10 years ago! However it feels like just yesterday that I joined ladies. And I here I one of the “older” people here. So ladies enjoy the 20’s cause they disappear fast.
Anyways, all and all today was an up and down day here but guess what, the roll we are looking for is about to start. Everyone is energized and rejuvenated after visiting family. And tomorrow is a 2 game day. Against new faces and teams we haven’t played. We are ready to bring our A game. We will focus on one rock and one end at a time. No looking forward and no looking back!
So here we go. Rolling into the last round robin games in round 1 ! We are ready to come out with 2 huge wins and guarantee ourselves the playoffs round.
But for now we better get some rest. We have a busy few days to look forward to.
I believe in these gals and I feel some good things coming. LOOK out these girls are ready to get their serious game faces in and have some fun!
And I’m telling you the Fans here are ready to cheer!
Good night!
