Playoffs Quickly Approaching at Viterra Scotties Women's Provincial Championship
Eberle & Silvernagle Sit at 5-1 Atop Leaderboard
What a roll both Team Chantelle Eberle of Regina and North Battlefords Robyn Silvernagle have been on the past few days here in Melfort at the Viterra Scotties Women’s Provincial Championship!
Eberle has come away with three straight victories in the past three draws, as her last loss came 8-3 to Team Stefanie Lawton. Eberle and team will look to stay at one loss with their next game coming tomorrow afternoon against Team Ashley Howard.
Silvernagle is riding a five game winning streak after a 6-3 win over Team Nancy Martin this evening, as their last loss came in Draw 1 to Eberle. All eyes will be on both Silvernagle and Eberle games tomorrow afternoon to see who will potentially take over that number one spot with only two draws remaining.
With their wins this evening, both Eberle & Silvernagle have guaranteed themselves atleast a tiebreaker game heading into the final day of round robin play.
Chisholm & Anderson Neck & Neck at Three Losses
After starting off the week at 0-2, Team Candace Chisholm of Carlyle were looking to make it four in a row tonight hitting the ice against Eberle. As Eberle squeezed out the extra end victory, it now brings Chisholm back even with Team Sherry Anderson, as they were able to pick up a win against Team Stefanie Lawton. Both teams currently sit at 3-3, with Anderson having the slight edge defeating Chisholm earlier in the week.
Lawton and Howard find themselves sitting at four losses, where they will need a lot to happen to see a tiebreaker game come Saturday morning. Lawton will have the bye in tomorrow afternoons draw, with a must win game at 7:30 p.m. against Chisholm. Howard in the meantime will have to go head to head in her remaining games with the top two teams so far, Eberle & Silvernagle.
