Playoffs Inch Closer at Jiffy Lube Junior Men's & Women's Provincial Championships
Pool Play Concludes for Half the Men’s & Women’s Fields
Junior Men Pool A ~The defending champions Team Rylan Kleiter continue to roll as they went 5-0 through pool play after a 12-5 win this evening over Team Austin Williamson, securing them the number one spot in Pool A.
Team Mitchell Dales also grabbed a win over Brett Behm giving him the number two spot, clinching them a playoff spot tomorrow afternoon. Kleiter & Dales will now play the waiting game until the final draw takes place tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m.
Junior Women Pool A ~Team Chaelynn Kitz (4-0) faced off against Team Hanna Anderson (3-1) this evening, with Anderson needing a win to force a tiebreaker. Anderson stole five straight single points en route to an 8-2 victory.
Along with Team Rachel Ericksons 6-2 win over Team Emily Haupstein, we now see Kitz, Anderson & Erickson all at 4-1. After all tiebreaking rulings were analyzed, it will be the Anderson & Erickson rinks facing off in tomorrows tiebreaker at 2:00 p.m.!

Teams Still in the Hunt Heading Into Final Draw
Things could get interesting tomorrow around the noon hour as the final draw will conclude and we will see where the final pieces will fall.
Junior Men’s Pool B ~On the men’s side, two Saskatoon rinks in Brayden Stewart & Daymond Bernath will head into the morning with 3-1 records. But not far behind them are Team Tokarz, Team Gervais & Team Vereschagin who all currently sit at 2-2.
Junior Women’s Pool B ~ Two 3-0 teams in Sara England and Ashley Thevenot hit the ice Friday afternoon with potential first place implications on the line. And it was Team England leading the way scoring four deuces in the game leading to a 9-5 win, and securing first place with the final draw set for all Pool B teams tomorrow morning. With Stepanie Todds win and Thevenots loss Friday afternoon, they both now sit at 3-1 with Tegan Zankl of Regina on their heels at 2-2. We may see a few more tiebreaker game(s) on our hands come Saturday afternoon.
