Englot and Manitoba Team Named Team Canada at Upcoming Scotties Tournament of Hearts

Regina’s Michelle Englot and her team out of the Granite Curling Club in Winnipeg, received some exciting news concluding the Olympic Trials Final Game between Team Rachel Homan and Team Chelsey Carey. With Team Homan’s win they will receive the Team Canada berth into the Scotties Tournament of Hearts coming up in Penticton, British Columbia beginning January 27!

Even though she will be playing out of Manitoba, Michelle still has some green and white in her blood and we are very excited to have her represent Canada in one month!!

Englot mentions how the team is feeling receiving the news, “We are very excited for the opportunity to be the Team Canada representatives at the 2018 Scotties Tournament of Hearts. We had such a good run last year and it was disappointing to lose the final but this is a great consolation prize for us. Since the Olympic Trials didn’t go as planned, we intend to regroup and take full advantage of the chance to win a national Scotties!”
