2017 New Holland Prairieland Curling Camp News!!

Hello Campers!

We are nearly a month away and cannot wait to get up to Nipawin and kick off one of the best weeks of the summer! We wanted to point out a few key points leading up to camp:
New Holland Title Sponsorship
As you may have heard, New Holland along with 20 dealers from around the province of Saskatchewan stepped in and are the new title sponsors of the Prairieland Curling Camp. We are thankful to have them as apart of our team and they have assisted us tremendously to prepare for this years camp! Please give thanks wherever you can for their generosity and support for youth curling in our province!
Guest Instructors
We are excited to announce that we will have two guest instructors joining our amazing team of staff for this years camp! Pat Simmons will be joining us in Week 1 as our guest instructor while Laine Peters will be with us during Week 2. These two individuals have combined curling resumes as both national and world champions, and we are fortunate to have them spread their knowledge of the game to the youth in our province!
Laine Peters Award Application &Submission
The Laine Peters Award (formerly the Ron Mills Award) is a fantastic opportunity for campers to apply for a $250 grant to help cover the cost of camp. The award recipient will be selected by Canadian Women’s Curling Champion Laine Peters. The description and other details for this award can be found here:https://curlsask.ca/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/Laine-Peters-Award-Description.pdf

Jersey Day at this Years Camp!
Jersey day last year turned out to be a hit, and we are planning to bring back jersey day! Just a friendly reminder to pack your favourite jersey. Jersey day will take place the third day of each camp.
Group Registration Announcement
We will be announcing the groups for this years camp to give campers a heads up of which group they will be in. Keep an eye on thecurlsask.cawebsite as well as our social media accounts on the announcement for a posting on July 5th, 2017.
Merchandise Clothing
NEW THIS YEAR! We have designed and provided an opportunity for our campers, siblings, parents, etc. to purchase camp specific merchandise clothing. This will be an online store where you can view and purchase clothing right from your home. Shirts will be $25, cash or cheque only (all taxes, shipping and other relates costs are included), with the t-shirts available for pickup upon arrival at camp! Please include which camp you are attending when purchasing your order. All proceeds from t-shirt sales will go directly back into next years curling camp! For all Non-Campers that cannot pick up t-shirts in Nipawin at the camp, can have alternate pickup at the CURLSASK office!
Social Media Reminders (@curlsask)
Please follow us on social media on our three platforms (Facebook, Twitter & Instagram) at @curlsask. Along with our emails, we will be using our social media platforms to post important news for the camp!
