Team SK Final Daily Blog – U18 Women's
Day five of competition was a full day for our team! Our first game was at 10:00 a.m. against Prince Edward Island which unfortunately ended with a loss. Our next two games were at 2:00 p.m. against Northwest Territories and at 6:00 p.m. against British Columbia. We played great both games and improved our final record to 3-5, seeding us 9th place. Unfortunately, this was not the way we wanted to end our Juvenile careers, but we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Although we did not make playoffs, Day 6 was still a full day of curling for our team! We were able to participate in the mixed doubles competition. All of us loved learning the game and can’t wait to play doubles again. We were lucky enough to be paired with the Alberta boys team.
Rachel Ryan and her partner Riley Heston, played hard all day making it to the bronze medal game. While Rachel Ryan was busy competing the rest of our team was busy cheering her on, along with Team Kleiter. We are very proud of how both of the teams performed! Congratulations to all the hard working teams this weekend. We were so proud to represent Saskatchewan and cheer on all our friends during this exciting week. Thank you Curling Canada and Curl Moncton for hosting such an amazing event! It is an experience we will never forget!
