Team SK Daily Blog – U18 Men
It was a long first day for Team Kleiter as they set out on their journey for the inaugural U18 Curling Championship in Moncton , NB. Saskatoon to Toronto to Montreal to Moncton resulted in a arrival time in Moncton at 12:30 am with a practice time of 9:00 am Monday morning. Good thing the boys are young.
After five hours of sleep, we had a quick breakfast at our sponsor, Tim Hortons. We then practiced at 9:00 am, first at Curl Moncton then at the Superior Propane Centre. Both venues had great ice, lots of curl, and great speed. Hats off to the ice makers in Moncton.
After a lunch at a local downtown restaurant, it was time for a short rest back at the hotel.
We then went to witness the historic Magnetic Hill only to get there and notice it was closed. We now check the hours of operation when visiting these attractions.
Tonight we will have the team and coaches meeting then the player ice breaker at Curl Moncton.
Tomorrow we play Team Newfoundland and Team Northern Ontario.
Hoping to make this wall someday.
Getting ready to go into battle.
We got a bit lost but decided it was a good idea to turn right here for some reason…hey Ashley.
