2017 Canadian Masters Curling Championships Set to Begin Monday in Guelph, Ontario!

Team Saskatchewan Looking for Another Strong Year at Masters

One year ago, both Saskatchewan Men’s and Women’s Masters teams reached the podiumat the Canadian Championships in Nova Scotia. The Eugene Hritzuk rink brought home the bronze medal, while the Merle Kopach team won the gold medal!

Jim Wilson (third for Team Saskatchewan at last year’s championship) will be skipping his own rink of Colin Coben, Dale Kohlenburg, and Daryl Eddingfield this year in Guelph. Jim who won the Canadian Championship back in 2014 with Hritzuk, will use his experience at this level to hopefully make another playoff appearance! Good luck gentlemen!

The Delores Syrota rink of Bev Krasowski, Donna Liebrecht and Sylvia Broad will represent Saskatchewan at this years Canadian Championship. Delores has won a provincial title at the junior, women’s, seniors and masters levels where she will look to use her experience to help her team make a run at the national title!

Team Syrotahad a wonderful provincial run up in Birch Hills as they went 5-1 throughout the weekend en route to the title, and look to keep things rolling this upcoming week. Good Luck ladies!
