Sometimes you are the windshield and sometimes you are the bug… I guess we are the bug. 🙁
The team had a nice relaxing morning after a late Tuesday night. Deanna, Lorraine and Danielle had arranged for massages in the morning.
Danielle’s husband Derek Owens arrived today a little bit later than he expected due to some fog in Toronto and was rerouted to Ottawa. But he did make it for some of the afternoon game.
The afternoon draw was the battle of the winless teams against BC and we were so close once again but lost in the extra end on a measure… Can’t get much closer than that.
The evening draw against NWT started out spectacular with a couple steals of 2 in the first ends to head out to an early 4 point lead. We gave back a couple 3 enders and had to play on very challenging frosty ice as the dehumidifier in the building was broken and unfortunately couldn’t manage to pull it off in the extra end without hammer.
The end is near with 3 more games but the team is enjoying every moment. Thank you Sask for keeping the faith and hanging in there with us.
