Team Penny Barker Wins 2017 Viterra Scotties Women’s Provincial Championship

Penny Barker and her team out of the Moose Jaw Ford Curling Centre are your 2017 Viterra Scotties Women’s Provincial Champions. The Barker rink battled all week long, coming out of the tiebreaker game, and eventually defeating Robyn Silvernagle of the Noth Battleford Twin Rivers Curling Club in the final. Team Barker will now represent Saskatchewan at the 2017 Scotties Tournament of Hearts Feb.18-26 in St. Catharines, Ontario. Good Luck to Team Saskatchewan!!

2017 SaskTel Tankard Men’s Provincial Championship Begins Feb.1

Sixteen of the top men’s teams from around the province will gather at the Tisdale RECplex Feb.1-5 to earn the right to represent Saskatchewan at the Tim Hortons Brier in St. Johns, Newfoundland Mar.4-12. The first draw in Tisdale begins Feb.1 @ 2:30 p.m. with the final slated for Sunday Feb.5 @ 2:30 p.m.

Mixed Doubles Open Provincial Championship

The Mixed Doubles Open Provincial Championship will take place at the Saskatoon CN Curling Club Feb.16-19. One Saskatchewan duo may be taking their first steps on the road to the Olympics, as Mixed Doubles Curling was officially announced as an Olympic Sport for the upcoming 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea.

Mixed Region -Feb.14 @ 12 p.m.
U18 (Men, Women, Open) -Feb.21 @ 12 p.m.
Club Championship Region -Feb.21 @ 12 p.m.
