Championship Weekend Preview at Viterra Scotties
Page 1 vs 2 Playoff Game – Robyn Silvernagle (1) vs. Stefanie Lawton (2)
The crowd here at the Horizon Creidt Union Centre got a little taste of pre-playoff action with the top two teams throughout the round robin meeting before our championship weekend gets underway. Up for grabs in this one were the choice of hammer, rock colors, and the right to be named number one heading into the 1 vs 2 page playoff game tomorrow. This one ended up being a one sided affair with the game breaker coming in the 5th end where Silvernagle (right) had an open draw for a big score of three to go up 5-1 heading in to the break. But these teams will meet again tomorrow night with the winner earning that direct berth into the final, which will take place Sunday afternoon.

Page 3 vs 4 Playoff Game – Martin (3) vs. TBD (Winner of Tiebreaker)
Nancy Martin’s team (left) ended off the round robin portion of this provincial on a high note with a win against Kim Schneider by a score of 9-5. Martin has been feeling it the past few games, with her team winning the last 5 out of 6. Martin will now play in the 3 vs 4 game tomorrow evening waiting on the winner of the tiebreaker between Penny Barker and Brett Barber.
Tiebreaker Game – Penny Barker (4) vs. Brett Barber (4)
The Penny Barker rink (right) out of the Moose Jaw Ford Curling Centre were one of many teams with their back up against the wall tonight in the final draw. Again we had our hands on a final round robin game that could have potentially been a preview of the first tiebreaker game, with a Barker win over Barber. This one was a tight game back and forth heading into the 5th end break, with Barker holding on to a 4-3 lead. Right after the break, Barker took advantage of a few Barber mistakes and ended up scoring another big three. Barber was not going away quietly and was making a game out of it scoring three straight single points, forcing Barker to make a delicate nose hit for the single and the win in the 10th end. Barker and Barber will now meet in the tiebreaker game tomorrow afternoon at 2 p.m., with the winner advancing to face Martin in the 3 vs 4 match-up.
