Growing Participation in Curling is Key
CURLSASK has made public the new 2015-2018 Year Strategic Plan that was unveiled at the April 25, 2015 Annual General Meeting. This plan was a collaborative effort of Board and Staff members led by Board Member Mitch Minken from Swift Current.
CURLSASK’s mandate is to provide programs and services for both recreational, participation type curling as well as those striving to reach national and world stages. CURLSASK is driven to raise the profile of the sport, support member clubs in their efforts to run successful operations and to provide programs for all levels of curlers, for all age groups in all parts of the province.
The CURLSASK website provides an overview of the Mission, Vision and Values of the organization. These statements laid the foundation for the development of the CURLSASK 2015-2018 strategic plan A colour hard copy is available from the CURLSASK office by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
CURLSASK is frequently perceived as an organization that is primarily focused on the competitive curling world. We all love our champions but not everyone strives to wear a green jacket. Most play for “Fun”, to be “Active” and to “Participate” in Saskatchewan’s Provincial Sport. The sport requires players, clubs and awareness for participants to be come interested in this lifetime, social and active sport. Many initiatives are directed to providing clinics, developing instructors and promoting and supporting member clubs in addition to developing the competitive side of the sport.
