Off to 3-4 from 5th Gerry Adam
Friday March 6, 2015
Well that was a quick turnaround from last nights disappointing loss. But we had our fate in our own hands waking up this morning. We were playing a tough team in B.C. who lost the final last year. The scenario was if we win we finished 3rd and if not it was a 4-way tie for 4th. We started out strong with a great draw by Steve to get the hammer to start the game, which is very important due to the fact we are undefeated with hammer to start. After a first end blank we had a good start to the second but after a great double by Cotter we had to draw full four foot for one point. After a few more blanks we stole one in the fifth end to go up 2-0. We played well and forced them and exchanged singles for a while. We had a two-point lead going into the last end and Steve made a 4 foot runback for the victory, disappointing Alberta, Quebec, and B.C.
We went to the Purple Heart lounge after the game and had a fun up close and personal with the Muyres family and Matt Camm and Mark Kean. There was lots of laughs and even some karaoke by the boys. After we headed down to the keg for a celebratory meal.
We have practice at 5 today to match stones for our all-important game tomorrow. The 1vs2 game is at 630 there after. Should be a relaxing night for Team Sask and want to rest up for our game tomorrow. There is more and more green showing up in the stands after each and every draw. Team Canada will be the favorites in the stands but we should have almost as many. Well thanks to everyone that has been following us and if you cant make it down to the dome watch us tomorrow at 1 on TSN.
