3 mm’s Sets the Tone
From Gerry Adam – Team SK Fifth Player
“Monday March. 2/15
Another one game day for us so it was pretty relaxed again. Some went for breakfast to Cora’s and some stayed back. Coach and fifth went down and watched the afternoon draw to do some rock scoping. Its really to bad due to our old age and bad eye sight and could not see even with the binoculars. The boys stayed back and watched some shows and movies.
At 3:30 we went back to Ye Ole Spaghetti factory for some afternoon pasta. (seemed to work yesterday). Back for pre game and then off to the dome after a another great meal. We played another Saskatchewan boy……..oh I mean Calgary? Pat Simmons?
The game started off with a draw to the button, Steve vs Pat Simmons. Pat put it 2.0cm from the button and Steve one up’d him with 1.7cm. The first end turned out great for us and unlucky for them. With a pick on Johnny Mo’s first we had a chance to split the house to sit two. After a flash on Johnny Mo’s last we had a draw for three made to perfection. In four we got another break and ended up stealing three more on a narrowly missed shot by John. We played a clean rest of the game and got away with the win after 9 ends with a 8-4 victory.
After the game we had a post game meeting and celebratory pizza before an early morning draw at 830 against NB on TSN. Tune into watch us again. We also have an autograph session with Team Alberta in the Purple Heart lounge. We then play the night draw against Team Quebec. Have a good night and talk to you tomorrow!”
