The CN Club in Saskatoon was the site of the tenth and final Tim Hortons youth spiel of the 2014 season. The CN hosted 16 teams on March 22nd in a terrific one day event. The previous weekend saw 22 teams at the Callie Club in Regina having a great time playing and meeting new curlers.
Swift Current Curling Club kicked off the youth season with their spiel on the January 4-5th weekend followed by events in Humboldt, Christopher Lake, Estevan, Carlyle, North Battleford, Rosetown and Wynyard. Over 80 teams played in these mini-spiels and by all accounts everyone had a terrific time.
The Tim Hortons Youth spiel circuit is organized by CURLSASK and designed to provide a fun bonspiel atmosphere for curlers aged 14 and under. Tim Hortons makes it special by providing medals to winners and product to all participants and volunteers. Thanks to the support of the curling clubs that hosted a spiel and to all the many volunteers who organized these events for these young curlers.
