Two Saskatchewan teams are competing in Kitchener, Ontario this week to earn one of the two coveted spots that leads to the Tim Horton’s Roar of the Rings Canadian Olympic Trials in Winnipeg in early December. Steve Laycock and Amber Holland are each one of twelve teams vying to keep their Olympic dreams alive at the Capital One Road to the Roar . Holland and Laycock earned their trips to Kitchener based on stellar bonspiel play over the past two years and earning the requisite CTRS points to qualify.
Laycock starts Tuesday morning at 8:00 A.M., Saskatchewan time, against Rob Rumfeldt from Ontario. Laycock is supported by Kirk Muyres, Coltun Flasch, Dallan Muyres and Coach Lyle Muyres. Holland’s first game is Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. , Saskatchewan time, against Winnipeg’s Barb Spencer.
