Viterra, Canada’s leading grain handler, and CURLSASK, the collective voice for curling in Saskatchewan, are pleased to announce that Viterra will be the title sponsor for the 2014 Scotties Tournament of Hearts. The announcement regarding the two year agreement was made earlier today at the Callie Curling Club in Regina.
In his remarks to the audience, Kyle Jeworski, Viterra’s President and CEO for North America said, “We’re excited about our new partnership with CURLSASK, which is a great opportunity to show our support for one of the province’s premier sporting events. Saskatchewan has an excellent national and international reputation for curling, and this event will be a showcase for local talent from communities across the province.”
Competition for the this year’s tournament will begin with the Viterra Northern Playdowns in Saskatoon, and the Viterra Southern Playdowns in Regina December 19-22. The Viterra Scotties Tournament of Hearts will take place in Tisdale, SK starting on January 8-12, 2014.

CURLSASK is the provincial sport governing body of curling in Saskatchewan. CURLSASK’s mandate is to provide programs and services to meet the needs of its members, build and support curling at all levels and provides leadership to the curling community. CURLSASK also coordinates and operates provincial championships in different categories to declare provincial champions to compete at National Champions and to further develop athlete development in the province. The organization has 150 affiliated curling clubs and over 22,000 individual curlers.
