CURLSASK High Performance Camp was held at the Callie Curling Club on Oct.4-6, 2013 with 7 teams taking part. Those teams were Team Eberle, Team Martin, Team Murray, Team Streifel, Team Wills, Team Jones, Team McCreary.
All teams were exposed to the key aspects of our game that will allow them to further develop their road to excellence.
The key topics covered at the camp included technical development, impact of fitness and nutrition on the athlete’s ability to perform; and the key role mental preparation plays in our game. Each team had approximately 7 hours of on ice activities. Each team in the camp were assigned a High Performance Consultant to help guide their team through the week-end to ensure there individual teams goals were met.
Sports Science specialists Carla Coulson, Brie Ellard-Jedlic and Shawn Kuster provided excellent presentations in their areas of expertise that included Sport Nutrition, Mental Training and Fitness Training respectively.
